About the Course :
This online course offers a profound exploration of the Buddha’s first and most essential teaching: the Four Noble Truths. Designed for students with a foundational understanding of Buddhist philosophy and meditation, the course goes beyond the basics to uncover the deeper layers of suffering and the path to liberation.

What You’ll Explore :
All-pervasive suffering – how subtle dissatisfaction shapes our lives
Dependent origination – the interdependent nature of our experience
Karma – understanding cause and effect through a wisdom lens
Impermanence – how change opens the door to liberation
The Noble Eightfold Path – practical steps toward awakening

Through guided reflections, group discussion, and clear teaching, you’ll deepen your understanding of both the truth of suffering and the path to freedom — and how this timeless wisdom applies directly to our modern lives

About the Teacher :
Geshe Tenzin Lhabsum (GomChen) is an Indian monk from Mumbai who trained in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of Sutra and Tantra and received his Doctorate from the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics in Dharamsala and his Geshe degree from Drepung Gomang Monastery (Karnataka).
He used to be an electronics engineer and worked as a professional sound engineer for 11 years before giving up everything in 2004 and heading for the mountains of Dharamsala. There, he spent three years studying the Tibetan language, after which he received his ordination from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and took up the 16-year study programme at the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics, studying Buddhist logic, philosophy, and epistemology.
The Dalai Lama’s Office recognises him as the second non-Himalayan Indian and the first from Mumbai to complete the Doctorate in Buddhist philosophy.
Geshe-la is a visiting professor at Somaiya College in Mumbai and a dedicated teacher of meditation and Buddhist philosophy. He offers regular online classes and leads in-person retreats designed to bring ancient wisdom into modern life.
What truly sets Geshe-la’s teachings apart is his deep care for each individual. His retreats and classes include opportunities for personal one-on-one sessions, allowing students to receive direct guidance tailored to their unique path. With compassion, clarity, and unwavering commitment, Geshe-la supports students in integrating the teachings into daily life — not just as concepts, but as living, transformative practice.
