The Mahabharata Within: An Exploration

Gleaning Life Lessons from an Epic

The Mahabharata is the longest and one of the most important epics of the world. Like the other great myths, it too is an archetypal drama of the multiple pushes and pulls within each of us arising out of the various parts of our being. However, we are often unaware of how these dynamics operate and play out habitual patterns of behaviour unconsciously in our everyday lives. Such living is a cause for much suffering both individually and collectively and also doesn’t do justice to the deepest gifts and potentials we hold. In this exploration, we’ll delve into one possibility of the inner meaning of the Mahabharata and what lessons it could offer us towards Purna Sadhana and Sarvodaya.

We will be drawing upon elements from Yoga, Art, Theater, and Process work in this exploration. It is open to friends from all cultural backgrounds. Prior knowledge of the Mahabharata is helpful but not mandatory.

Participants are required to be present for the entire duration of the workshop.
There will be film screenings in the evenings to further deepen our exploration. Attendance is optional.
