COMING HOME — DHARMA | ART | NATURE
A Retreat with Tejal Shah
This retreat is an invitation to rest gently while coming home into loving, wakeful presence. We will work with various creative mediums such as Ikebana, painting, movement, singing, writing, as well as activities drawn from art therapy and relational healing to support our recognition of awareness and deepen our understanding of the four seals of Buddha’s teachings. Weather permitting, we will spend at least half our time outdoors contemplating and meditating in nature. Emphasis will be on embodied, experiential, joyful and participant-led learning. There will be ample time for silence, reflection, and intimate group sharing.

About the Facilitator:
Tejal is a facilitator, a contemporary visual artist and a cultural organiser who loves to curate and facilitate meaningful journeys of self-inquiry. In trying to make sense of the world with its ten thousand joys and sorrows, she has found refuge in Buddha’s teachings. In her offerings, she weaves the nondual view of Buddhist philosophy and its practices with psychotherapeutic and expressive arts modalities, queer-feminist perspectives and eco-poetics. It brings her tremendous joy and satisfaction in co-creating a better world by sharing the light of wisdom & compassion so kindly shone to her by her teachers. In service of supporting healthier relationships that are steeped in love, care, trust and understanding, in 2020, she founded the project AS IT IS (https://www.asitis.org.in).
