August 17 & 18

Facing My Fears
August 24 & 25
You will learn how to—
• Understand and identify fear
• Mindfulness techniques for nonjudgmental presence
• Cognitive behavioural tools to witness negativity bias
• Exposure therapy to accept, acknowledge and transform fear gradually
• Build resilience to enhance personal strength and coping strategies
• Community for guidance, sharing and promoting wellbeing
About the Facilitator—
Sunita Lama is a certified Mindfulness, Happiness, and Wellbeing coach.
Her journey into this field began in the year 2017 when by a stroke of luck, she came across a link for a month-long mindfulness summit. This gave her the opportunity to learn about the works of renowned mindfulness experts such as Jon Kabat Zinn, Tara Brach, Shamash Alidina, Daniel Goleman, Dr. Mark Williamson to name a few, and their success stories.
An ESL instructor by profession. As an educator, she believes in the head and heart synergy. She has done extensive research in the field, designed numerous courses, and delivered to students of various age groups, teachers and parents. She has presented papers on the benefits of implementing mindfulness in education at international conferences.
Sunita comes from the pristine hills of Darjeeling, India. She holds a master’s degree in English Language and Literature from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya, a Post Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English ( PGDTE) from CIEFL,Hyderabad, India, and a Certificate in Teaching English Language to Adults (CELTA )from Cambridge University, UK. She has worked as an IELTS Examiner for the British Council, Dubai, and taught for eleven years at The Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai Women’s Campus, Dubai, UAE. She has also worked as a coordinator for the English Faculty at Dzongsar Chokyi Lodro Institute, a center for advanced Buddhist studies in Himachal Pradesh, India.
